Ini Lukisan Orang, Lupa Siapa Yang Punya
How do you perceive Indonesia? What’s on your mind when you’re thinking of Indonesia? What defines Indonesia? What makes Indonesia Indonesia? Is there anything worth being called ‘uniquely Indonesian’? What is Indonesia? What’s so Indonesian about Indonesia? Who made Indonesia? Who named Indonesia? Why Indonesia? Why not Indoplanet? Or Nusantarasia? Javanesia? Indonesia is just a name. The rest is dirty politics.
My half-American cousin is craving for Teh Botol Sosro. I think that’s very Indonesian. It’s also something that Malaysia can’t claim. Haha!
About the name, actually I prefer it to be “Nusantara”. More original and sounds more majestic
and imperialistic.BTW, what’s with the katarsis tag?
^
Yeah kinda like Nusantara too.
Katarsis? It’s not a tag; but a category. Apa bedanya yak? Ah, sudahlah. Tidak penting.
OK OK category.
Jon, kayaknya komentarku yang tadi masuk kotak spammu deh. Tolong dibebasin dong? Males nulis ulang. Makasih ya?
@Meong
Teh Botol Sosro? Indonesia’s Coca Cola? Yah, kayaknya memang itu teh botol Indonesia banget. Kalo Indomie? Hehehehe…
perhaps this thread could offer something ^^
*warning : tl;dr*
the language bahasa indonesia itself is unique. it’s not melayu, it’s original indonesia..;)
and it widely use in every part of indonesia, i think that’s something. my indian friend (the one with sari, not with mohawk) once told me that indian people speak english fluently, but many of them can’t speak or write hindi, their national language.
foreigners are into indomie goreng sooo much! there’s a facebook page for indomie goreng, and ppl all over the world are craving for it and exchange info on how to get it!
I prefer Dutch East Indies, or Netherlands Indies.. More european, less javanese~
*ngelantur*
But the most thing about Indonesia is Bali!
Eh, katanya dulu nama “Indonesia” itu dipilih setelah “mengalahkan” alternatifnya: “Melayunesia.” Kayaknya itu lebih aneh lagi. [/trivia ga jelas]
Nusantara saja.
@arm
thanks for the link.
@arie
Bahasa Indonesia IS, I am afraid, one dialect of Malay language. It was spoken by the Malay people in Riau.
@hanny
Indomie goreng is the best. Delicious, but dangerous — sayangnya.
@Pak Guru
What about ‘Malaysia’? Sounds better?
